We have exciting, educational and fun, age-appropriate Girl Scout programs for girls from
5-17. A world of activities awaits the girls and young women of Western New York.
Girl Scout Age Levels
Daisy Girl Scouts (ages 5-6 or in grades K-1)
Brownie Girl Scouts (ages 6-8 or in grades 1-3)
Junior Girl Scouts (ages 8-11 or in grades 3-6)
Cadette Girl Scouts (ages 11-14 or in grades 6-9)
Senior Girl Scouts (ages 14-17 or in grades 9-12)
Juliette Girl Scouts (ages 5-17 - not a Troop setting)
Girl Scout Programs
Day/Short Term Programs – Girl Scout activities throughout the year.
Camp Programs – Available year round
Interest Group – Groups assembled based on interest.
Membership with Girl Scouts Involves
• annual registration fee of $10, financial aid is available.
• involvement with the annual cookie and magazine sale
• informal, educational programs
• encouragement to explore her potential
• growth through making her own decisions
• development of her leadership skills
• development of citizenship through projects to help others
Girl Scouting is a Family Affair
• attend your daughter’s parent/guardian meeting
• find out ways in which you can help
• get acquainted with leaders and other parents
• keep in touch with troop leaders so you know when they need help with:
driving, sales assistance, organizing field trips, etc.
• make sure dues and event fees are paid and permission slips are returned promptly
• drop off and pick up daughter on time
